Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. This position may be structured as either part-time or full-time, making it an excellent opportunity for a retiree seeking flexible work hours. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for selling concrete and asphalt projects, as well as grading, bobcat services, and dirt hauling and sales to a diverse range of residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and develop new relationships within business or residential.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Sales & Negotiation: Prepare and deliver compelling sales quotes, negotiate contracts, and close agreements to maximize profits and meet sales goals.
- Site Visits: Conduct regular job site visits to understand project needs, address concerns, and ensure quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience: Sales experience, preferably within the concrete, asphalt, construction materials, or related heavy industrial industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of asphalt and concrete products, applications, and industry standards (e.g., DOT specifications).
- Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written), presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Aptitude: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Other: A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.

Concrete Estimator - GDOT Projects

About the Role
We specialize in GDOT (Georgia Department of Transportation) concrete projects. As our Concrete Estimator, you will accurately estimate material costs, labor, and timelines for competitive bids on various GDOT concrete items (sidewalks, curb and gutter, ADA ramps, etc.).
Core Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Accurately calculate material quantities and costs for all concrete items
- Estimate labor hours, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Prepare and submit detailed, competitive bids
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GDOT specifications and standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in concrete estimating (GDOT experience preferred)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills; experience with estimating software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

About the Role
Smooths and finishes poured concrete surfaces like curbs, gutters, sidewalks using hand and power tools. Key duties include preparing surfaces, leveling and smoothing the concrete with tools like trowels and floats, and cutting expansion joints. The job also involves setting forms, ensuring quality, and performing cleanup.
Core Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare and clean job sites, and set up and align forms (molds) to achieve the correct depth and pitch for concrete pouring.
- Concrete Placement: Spread, level, and smooth freshly poured concrete using tools such as shovels, rakes, trowels, and floats.
- Finishing: Create specific finishes by using power tools like power trowels, vibrating screeds, and grinders, or by applying sealants and polishing the surface.
- Curing and Repair: Monitor the curing process. cut expansion joints, and patch any voids or damaged areas.
- Installation: Install fixtures like anchor bolts or steel plates into fresh concrete as needed.
- Maintenance and Cleanup: Maintain tools and equipment, and clean the work area after the project is complete.
